The event was bright enough that I noticed an increase in the ambient light on a lightly lit main road. It was the initial flash which drew my attention. Also I didn't get to see where it ultimately disappeared behind the horizon due to a building (Baker's Pharmacy) being in the way. I didn't know to wait up to five minutes for a sound so I went inside about a minute to two minutes after having initially seen it.
