My husband is an airline pilot and was picking me up from the Burlington airport and we were driving to smugglers notch. I had been commenting on how close the stars looked here and there weren't street lights everywhere so you could see them. I'm the one at home who points out the satellites at night. This lit up the whole sky like a lightning bolt that wouldn't go out. And then we saw the fireball.
