There was a delay of over 1 min before the boom was heard. My daughter and I were standing on the deck looking due North and it sounded like a sonic boom way off in the distance due North. I am a pilot and I am familiar with the sounds of sonic booms. The sky was mostly cloudy in our area and only had a chance to see parts of the actual meteor trail as it passed over the clouds. The clouds lit up like lightning was behind the clouds, the light did pulse like flashing lightning and you could see the white streak in the breaks through the clouds..
