| Remarks | this is the second one I've seen from my house. The first one was years ago out my upstairs front window facing Route 17 and it was a ball of fire with a concurrent roar of a freight train that shook the house and it broke up toward the west toward Rumford or Peru. This morning's fireball I saw while roughly facing east out my backyard window on the second floor of my two story house. It was higher in the sky and there was this big flash of light that lit up the clouds at first, and then I saw the fireball, but it was a ball of very intense light and not fiery like the first one I saw. Then I heard like a roar of a freight train. I've sat out on the lawn and watched meteor showers like the Perseids, but these two meteors appeared closer than those...Pretty cool |
