Remarks I am not a professional observer but I do love the night sky and observe it often. I know I have never seen anything like this before. I have seen shooting stars and this was the BRIGHTEST flash I have ever seen followed by a bright white/light yellow streaking "flame" that shot across the sky followed by what looked like smoke. It all happened very quickly but I know what I saw and I will always remember today because while it was unique...it scared the hell out of me.

Remarks The flash lit up the entire sky as if a lightning bolt would but the flash was 10 times brighter and lasted for a few seconds while the fireball was streaking across the sky until it disappeared
