Reports Report 929bk (Event 929-2010)

Observer
Name Kenneth L
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I\'ve never seen anything like this. I was driving up I-95 from Richmond to Ashland. All of a sudden there was a bright fireball in the sky. Bigger than any shooting star I\'ve ever seen. There were about ten cars in front of me on the highway all who braked hard and slowed down after seeing the object. It travelled from East to West and had a long (2 inches) on my windshield) trail behind it. It was really bright and large. It lasted a couple of seconds then it was gone. I seriously thought it broke through the atmosphere and I was anticipating and second explosion from impact! Nothing else happened. I called some of my family after it happened and to tell them about it.
