| Remarks | These appeared as slow moving bright objects, numbering at least 100 in the 45 minutes we were watching them go by. Some came by only one at a time, with others following, moving east to west. They were scattered all over. Some were moving in groups, up to 10 together. We could watch them for quite some time as they drifted off out of eye site. I zoomed up on them with my bonoculars, They looked like sparkling stars. Red, white and blue coloring, but mostly red. I assumed these were slow moving fragments, maybe from the large meteor that streaked through Wisconsin the night before. I contacted the Chicago Planitarium but no one could tell me what we saw. |
