Reports Report 2888ae (Event 2888-2016)

Observer
Name Susan T
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Our field of vision is very limited in our location because of tall trees. The fireball was HUGE and appeared to have originated and terminated far outside our limited field of vision. It looked like it was going to hit the ground, but we never heard a boom. I was not wearing a watch, and forgot to check the time immediately afterwards, so the time is approximate, somewhere between 11:30pm Aug 12 and 12am Aug 13. AMENDED TIME I remembered that we had stepped outside after hearing 3 or 4 booms, that sounded similar to fireworks. We live near a ballpark that has frequent fireworks that always occur around 10pm because of local noise ordinances. The time of the booms was approximately 11:30 EST, and saw the fireball 10-15 minutes later (with no concurrent sounds).
