I pulled the exact position in from my flight log at 9:01 pm est. (based on other sightings from that time) I didn't look at my watch at the time but the terrain looks like where I remember. My co-pilot witnessed it as well. It was very close to us (less than a mile) and came down at a very steep angle. It had a tail probably a few hundred feet long.

I was flying on heading of 90 degrees at 5700 ft msl, descended bright ball in front of me less than a mile away at steep trajectory. bright white ball, terminated with a flash of red and green at about 4000 ft msl
