| Remarks | I had no idea what I was seeing - it did not look like a shooting star because it was falling to the ground. I was driving at night in a rural area surrounded by fields. I commented about it on facebook and a friend said her two sons saw something too. Two very bright flashes of light in the sky that I though were lightning caught my attention, then saw it out of the left corner of my eye. Turned my head to the left and saw a very bright, white ball of light falling that turned to smaller yellow-orange ball as it came close to the ground. I did not see it hit the ground, and did not see any light after that. It happened very fast. I was pretty freaked out by it. I thought what does a meteor look like, so I looked it up when I got home and saw some similar videos on youtube, my searches also brought me to this reporting. Very curious if that is what I saw. |
