| Remarks | I was driving on the expressway when I saw the fireball. The road curved a bit in those few seconds I watched it, so the angle that I viewed it changed. Generally, I was driving eastbound and it stayed between my one to two o'clock position using the clock system. I am a professional pilot and have only observed something like this once before about 5 years ago, flying over the southwest USA ina Lear 45, east-northeast bound at approximately 45,000'. Both sightings were spectacular. This one appeared to 'flameup' so to speak. The flames appeared to increase momentarily and then extinguish. I couldnt really tell if it 'exploded' as the one question was worded. |
