| Remarks | The initial amazing fireball was followed MINUTES later by smaller similarly moving object though it was more likely a large shooting star, no fireball. As I drive often at night, it was not like the hundreds of shooting stars or meteor shower things I have seen. Much bigger and a definite falling appearance ball of fire that was not initially seen. Due to proximity to Dulles Airport, I thought perhaps a plane had exploded though I did not hear anything over the stereo. Very very cool to see! |

| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Very bright flash, looked like it exploded suddenly then was gone. Could not hear anything as the stereo was turned up in the car. Followed a few minutes later by much smaller flash or possibly large shooting star going in the same direction. Trees obscured fragments or details very quickly after the flash became a ball of fire/yellow so did not see more than it abruptly went lower than original trajectory |
