Remarks I'm not sure I answered all the questions correctly. I was facing north, traveling northeast on route 95 (Boston MA to Hampton NH). I was before the exit for Georgetown (near the sign for the exit, but I don't know how far from the exit itself). The fireball was in front of me as I faced north, and it traveled from east to west across the sky. It traveled more horizontal than vertical (not a big arc). I saw it from the front window of my car as I was driving so I don't think it was that high in the sky (I had to look up, it definitely wasn't at eye level directly in front of me, but it was low enough for me to see through my front window with my eyes glancing up - I didn't have to bend my neck far back or lean forward to see it so it wasn't straight up in the sky). Also, not exactly sure of the time, I think it was around 9:30 PM, but I guess it could have been any time between 9:15 and 9:45 PM. It was pretty cool. I've seen meteor showers and "falling stars" that just sort of dissolve or burn out and disappear, but this was the first time I've ever seen a fireball explode like a firework. The "head" or fireball was pretty big (like a moon) and it definitely lasted more than one second, but I don't know how long- maybe 3 seconds? I hope this helps- I hope others saw it!
