| Remarks | Having seen many \"shooting stars\" in the past at night, this sighting was impressive in the brightness and size of the flash. Would appreciate any feedback/information concerning others\' sightings on this date and time. Am certain of time (12:37 pm) as I glanced at dashboard clock immediately after sighting. |

| Persistent train | |
|---|---|
| Observation | No |
| Duration | -1s |
| Length | 30° |
| Remarks | The train seemed to appear a fraction of a second before the flash of light, as if a flare had been shot across the sky, but the flash did not persist as a flare would have. So, the trail appeared to precede the flash. This sighting was made at midday, against a blue, cloudless sky. The flash itself was extremely bright. |
