Reports Report 208jm (Event 208-2011)

Observer
Name Melinda
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I was driving when I spotted what appeared to be a fireball streaking down very very quickly towards the ground, in front of me and slightly to my left. It was a bright, sunny day, and the sky behind where I saw this was clear blue. No trees obscured my view, as I was in an area with cranberry bogs all around me. It moved much too quickly to be anything but either an optical illusion, or a fireball. I spotted it as it came into my windshield field of view (thank goodness I was on a straight stretch of road!), and it appeared to wink out before it got to the horizon. It appeared to fall straight down, from my perspective. No sound was noticed, as I was driving in my car with the windows raised.
