Appeared suddenly in my southeast. I was facing south in my car. Lasted no more than 2 seconds. I was near LaGuardia airport so I thought it may have been some object or bird.

It burnt out in the sky like an average meteor, only it was at 12:30 in the afternoon on a particularly bright day. I was wearing polarized sunglasses.
