I remember seeing a fireball when I was about 12. Thought it was hitting the hospital behind my house. Jan 6 2010 was the second time seeing one (age 30). Freaked out thinking it almost hit my house. Did some research to find out there still miles up in the sky. Since then I've been hooked on astronomy and try to get some sky watching in every day.
