Compared to a shooting star this moved much slower across the sky. Still moving very quickly across the sky but I have never observed one that lasted that long. Also you may notice that the direction I was facing is directly towards and airport landing strip. This is a coincidence. The airport was less than a half mile in the direction I was facing And is a smaller airport that doesn't get much traffic. This was definitely not an airplane. My eyes are on the sky's constantly as I am a very curious person when it comes to anything that has to do with astronomy and know how easy it is to mistake an airplane for something else.

Remarks
First looked like a star moving steadily across sky slightly moving away from me as it crossed. Train started about 3 seconds after first visual and looked like a smoky white light growing longer and turning green as the "star" did. Train lasted only a second or two once the star disappeared.
