Remarks I’m pretty certain and would welcome feedback. I looked up the rare occurrence of meteors in Scotland yet I think this was too intensely white bright travelling very fast , appearing from nowhere and then ending suddenly after maybe one second with slight sparking fragmentation that I cannot reasonably think it can be anything else. Surely some security cameras caught this at 20.38 today ?

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I was driving with radio on and did not hear anything. It lasted approximately one second travelling incredibly fast. Intensely white. Travelling across the sky left to right but descending slightly. I think east south east. It appeared from nowhere, travelled fast and then broke up in a flash/with slight fragmentation sparks and immediately disappeared from visibility in a dark sky. It seemed quite close which may be against this being a meteor but it was absolutely fantastic to see. I’ve seen many fireworks over my 60 years. This was not a firework.
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks Actually not spectacular. Like an ending it flashed slightly at the end of its smooth fast trajectory and I saw what looked like sparks drop briefly then disappear very quickly. So, the “fragmentation” ended the visible intense light from a what seemed a small but incredibly bright object. NB It seemed closer, lower than I would have expected a meteorite to have entered the atmospheres this was close. I will not forget this.
