I have seen at least 100 shooting stars in my life. This was unlike anything I have ever seen. It looked like a sonic boom and was so low the giant flash was well below the tree line. Although I did not hear a strike.. I am going to check my field for a crater tomorrow.

Remarks
Very big explosion. The explosion looked 50 times bigger than the streak. It was gigantic. The explosion was so big and so close to the ground I could not determine fragmentation.
