I've always been mesmerized by space, meteors, comets, etc. Don't know much of anything about them, but a friend of mine and I love this stuff enough to make a point to head out to the country to experience the Perseid showers, supermoons, and other fun astronomy wonders. Last Friday night 8-29-2014 around 10p I saw a full on meteor or comet (what's the right name?) right over my head, as clear as could be--fantastic, beautiful! I had to check to see if this was real and it appears others saw it too! No time to pull out a camera. :-(
