Salvador Aguirre (b. 1952) is an avid amateur astronomer from Hermosillo,
Mexico. He has conducted many observations of variable stars, asteroid occultations,
meteors and comets. He has also helped popularize and coordinate amateur
astronomical research within Mexico.
