Astronomy has been an interest of mine since 1976 when I first saw the Milkman Comet aka Comet West as a kid. It hooked me for life. It filled the eastern sky, it's nucleus and coma perfectly oriented straight down above the horizon with a tail fanning out to zenith. Having viewed several comets since i.e. Shoemaker-Levy and the aftermath of it's collision with Jupiter, Hale-Bopp, etc. as well as a total eclipse from the path of totality and many, many other astronomical events nothing has even come close in comparison. Astrophotography has also been an interest of mine for about the last five years as the technology continues to evolve rapidly. While I still enjoy observing the most, astrophotography allows us to see the things our eyes cannot see not to mention recording them either in stills or a video file format. A couple of natural branch offs of the above for me were space exploration (in particular NASA and the Apollo program I grew up on, the Shuttle program and now SpaceX) building models of various spacecraft and travel to launches, etc. but also meteorites to include collecting, studying and hunting for them. I have only 17 presently in my collection that I add to monthly. None are personal finds but rather purchases from reputable sources with COA's. My most valued at present are a NWA 12269 1.3g Mars Stone, NWA 11788 Lunar Stone and NWA 7831 Diogenite From Asteroid Vesta 8.0g.
