Everything the Light Touches
Composite of multiple images: Nikon D750 camera, Irix 15mm f/2.4 lens: exposure 20 seconds; f 4; ISO 800 for the night sky; ISO 800 for 5 of the 8 meteor images, ISO 400 for 3 of the 8 meteor images captured during nautical twilight ; ISO 100 for the foreground during nautical twilight. I was shooting continuously from 2258 to 0617 Mountain Time: The temperature was 41 degrees, according to the last time I had phone service at the location; the wind speed was in the 40s with higher gusts; the sky was completely cloudy until 0122 when the moon (75 percent illumination waning) was finally visible as the clouds were clearing, and the sky became completely clear at 0234. Time of the radiant and constellation Leo in the sky: 0340. Times of meteor captures: 0304, 0339, 0342, 0455, 0521, 0545, 0549, 0556.
