Around 2am Thursday morning I was out doing photos of the stars with a bright moon in my way. I turned around my tripod and decided to take a photo of the moon. Right after I pushed the shutter button a large ball of fire came out of nowhere at the lower part of the moon and shot down towards the ground. I could see it breaking up as it went down.
