Kirkwood Space Junk AMS pending report #64335 2/24/15
Started off yellow/orange as it was falling then a bright burst of green at the end as it went behind the ridge. It left green reflections on the snow in my picture as it terminated. This fell unusually slow. I have personally witnessed and caught several fireballs on camera while time lapsing the night sky and I have never seen one fall so slow and without a tail as this one did. After the excitement of what I saw I think this was space junk based on the slow rate of fall but I witnessed and photographed this even 8 hours after the event 451-2015. It is possible that the entire craft did not re-enter as it broke up completely during the first event. If the lightest weakest portion broke off and burned up as it skimmed the atmosphere then the heaviest object would have retained it velocity from its mass and could have continued. It is not like we had two satellites re-enter 8 hours apart.
